Sue Boon, who chairs the Biddenden Tractorfest and Country Fair committee, said: “The 2016 event was the most successful since our launch in 2013 and being able to donate such a large amount this year to local and other good causes has been a tremendous boost to all the volunteers who work hard to make the Tractorfest weekend happen.

“The event is affordable and fun for all the family, and there’s something to please everyone – tractors old and new, horticultural machinery, classic cars, animals, craft and refreshment stalls, and much more.

“With so much being done in a rush these days, visitors like the way Tractorfest’s old-fashioned ambience gives a glimpse into a slower and simpler time.”

A gathering of tractors and a barbecue were arranged to help celebrate the presentation of donations.

The 2016 event was held on 20 and 21 August at Beech Lane Field, Biddenden, by kind permission of Michael Palmer.

The next Tractorfest will be held on 19 and 20 August 2017 at the same location. For more information, visit www.tractorfest.co.uk or telephone 07934 270500.
