The Kent County Agricultural Society are delighted to announce that Biddenden Tractorfest will go ahead on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st August 2022, returning to original site Holden Farm near The Three Chimneys.
Having taken the difficult decision to postpone the event in 2021, the committee are now thrilled to now be in a position to run this popular event in 2022, with many of the dedicated volunteers still forming much of the organising committee.
Having taken over the organisation of Tractorfest in 2019, the Kent County Agricultural Society are looking forward to working alongside the committee on the return of this community event. The Kent Showground itself has seen the return of many events since the listing of coronavirus restrictions, including two of their own events, The Kent County Summer Fayre and the Heritage Transport Show. The team are excited to give strength to the Biddenden Tractorfest Committee with their many year’s of experience running large outdoor events.
Julian Barnes, Vice Chairman of the Kent County Agricultural Society, owner of Biddenden Vineyards and resident of the village said, “We are really looking forward to finally being able to go ahead with this Biddenden Tractorfest. We are so proud to be working alongside the many volunteers that know this event well and hope to do them proud by being part of such a valuable event for the community. The aims of the committee that run Tractorfest are in line with the charitable objectives of the Kent County Agricultural Society so it made sense to form the partnership”.
Biddenden Tractorfest will be returning to the larger site of Holden Farm, where it was held in 2016/17, which will allow better access for vehicles and by foot, as well as even more space for trade stands, vehicle entries and visitors.

Following the announcements this week outlining the need for ongoing social distancing, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Biddenden Tractorfest which was due to be held on 15th and 16th August 2020.
Our main obligation and priority is to protect the health and safety of our visitors, traders, exhibitors, volunteers, staff and all those involved in preparing and delivering the Show. With the current conditions on social distancing and possible Government restrictions on large events for the foreseeable future, it is just not possible to host a safe event for all those involved.
If you have purchased a ticket for Biddenden Tractorfest and would like a refund, please contact email@example.com. The event is organised by volunteers living in and around Biddenden and the Kent County Agricultural Society. If you are able, please consider donating the cost of your purchase to the Kent County Agricultural Society so that we may continue our important work in supporting education and development in farming and agriculture. All stand bookings will be contacted to discuss their options.
From all of us at Biddenden Tractorfest and the Kent County Agricultural Society, take care of yourselves and we hope to see you all on 21st and 22nd August 2021.
AGRICULTURAL CHARITY STEPS UP TO KEEP BIDDENDEN TRACTORFEST ALIVE
The Kent County Agricultural Society has today announced that it will facilitate the continued running of Biddenden Tractorfest, with the event set to continue at the original Woolpack Corner site on the weekend of 15th & 16th August 2020.
After this year’s event, Sue Boon, Chairman of Biddenden Tractorfest, and the organisers agreed that the event had reached a scale that could no longer be run efficiently by volunteers alone and that sadly it would not be held in 2020. Following talks with the Kent County Agricultural Society, it was agreed that the Society could take on Biddenden Tractorfest, aiming to continue the event in keeping with the idea of how it was originally set up with existing volunteers still forming much of the organising committee.
The Kent County Agricultural Society already run four agricultural events throughout the year including their showcase event, the Kent County Show, as well as the Heritage Transport Show.
