Straightening Up At Biddenden Tractorfest 2018

Biddenden Chiropractic at TractorfestTractorfest has always been keen to attract a real variety of exhibits, stalls, attractions and at the same time provide a really good showcase for new as well as established businesses that could be enjoyed by all our visitors.

Biddenden Family Chiropractic or BFC, owned by Tom and Becky Claykens, opened in October last year. It had always been their intention to set up their own chiropractic clinic close to Becky’s family in her lovely home village of Biddenden.

Having both worked and lived in The Netherlands for six years gaining specialty degrees and lots of experience, they felt the time was right in 2017 to return to open their own practice; helping the local community with their back and neck pain, headaches, arthritic joints, sporting injuries, etc. (more…)

A really great favourite of the children who visit Tractorfest, is the little miniature railway – Rileys. What many people won’t know about it though is the heart warming story behind its creation and that it’s named after owners Larry and Sandra’s Lewis’s grandson, seven year old Riley.

Sadly, Riley was born with six serious heart conditions.

In order to acknowledge the subsequent very special care Riley received, and continues to receive, from the most wonderful and talented hospital staff during many hours of operations, at Evelina Childrens hospital, St Thomas’s, Larry and his wife Sandra, asked themselves how they could possibly support and raise much needed funds for this amazing hospital.

Tractorfest NewsTractorfest’s “slice” of Community Life

Ask anyone if they visited the Tea Tent in the centre of Tractorfest last year and you’ll notice a slightly guilty expression as they own up to visiting it more than once. And in a few cases… quite a few times.
It was run with military precision by Biddenden’s Jeanette Oatway, who kicked off the weekend with 10 volunteers stationed in the church, receiving delicious cakes from over 40 volunteer bakers and boxing all the cakes in readiness for transportation to the showfield.

New Year, New Website, New Location

To celebrate our new location at Woolpack Corner in Biddenden, on the 18th and 19th August 2018, Tractorfest’s Laura Down and Rob Farris at FarrisWebs are putting the finishing touches to a new, much more user-friendly website for Tractorfest which will be live from the end of January.
